I refer to the occupational
licensing functions performed by the Department of Local Government, Industry
Regulation and Safety.
(1) Which section or division within the
department is responsible for the administration of occupational licences?
(2) What is the current FTE staffing
level of this section or division?
(3) Which occupations is this section responsible
for administrating?

I thank the member
for some notice of the question.
(1) Occupational licensing is undertaken
by the licensing services directorate within the Building Energy Safety and
Service Delivery group.
(2) There are 113 FTE.
(3) The occupations are demolition; high-risk
work assessors; high-risk work; dangerous goods drivers; explosives drivers;
shotfiring; asbestos assessors; asbestos removal; fireworks and pyrotechnics;
dangerous goods sites; plant registration and dangerous goods vehicles;
gasfitting; construction industry adjudicators; building surveyors; building
engineers; building contractors and practitioners; electricians; plumbers;
painters and owner-builders; settlement agents; car market operators; debt
collectors; employment agents; land valuers; vehicle auctioneers; vehicle
dealers; vehicle repairers; vehicle salespersons; real estate and business
agents; real estate developers; and real estate sales representatives.
The President: I will just invite the parliamentary
secretary to have regard to standing order 106 in regard to the length of
answers. That may have been put in a table and incorporated.
