(a) The Justice Pipeline Model is being developed in a modular fashion, with components relating to the courts and corrective services systems having been completed in 2018. This has involved processing over 20 million records to create an input database that exceeds half a million entries and covers more than 200,000 unique individuals. Development of the Police Module is nearing completion, with the target date for practical completion of the full model being 31 March 2019. (b) No. Documentation of the model is being progressed. (c) Not applicable. (d) No. The Model itself does not make recommendations to Government. Rather, it is an analytical tool that is used to simulate the impact of policy and parameter changes, on activity and cost across the criminal justice sector. (e) Not applicable.
