(1) Please refer to question on notice 4999
(2) The total headcount of Police Officers as at 30 August 2007 was: 5244
(3) The total FTE of police officers as at 30 August 2007 was: 5134.3
Normal method of reporting of police officer FTEs is Constable to Superintendent Therefore the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners, Executive Director and Assistant Commissioners have not been included.
Frontline first has shifted officers from non-operational areas to frontline positions, providing increased numbers that are not reflected in the figures.
District Superintendents deploy available resources within their Districts to provide the best possible policing service to meet the varying needs of the community.
Corporate and Community Development was abolished in mid 2006. Temporary Holdings and Others do not have an approved FTE allocation as officers are only held here in transition between permanent postings.
