FIREFIGHTERS — RALLY
605. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the Minister for Emergency
Services:
I refer to the rally at Parliament
House on Thursday, 25 May, attended by hundreds of career firefighters and
community members calling for a better outcome from enterprise bargaining
agreement negotiations.
(1) Why did the minister or his
parliamentary secretary not attend the rally?
(2) Did the
Department of Fire and Emergency Services issue a circular instructing DFES not
to wear their uniforms or personal protective clothing during the rally?
(3) If yes to (2), please table the
circular.
(4) Has DFES
commenced any disciplinary action against firefighters who attended the rally;
and, if so, please provide detail?
