I refer to the answer to my question on notice No. 3885, and ask -
(1) Please list for each of the State’s priority water management areas the number of surface water licences which authorise water extraction greater than or equal to 5 ML/ year?
(2) How many of these have a condition on their license requiring them to -
(a) install a meter; and
(b) report the readings to the Department?
(3) How many of the licenses referred to in (1) have privately-owned meters installed?
(4) Please list for each of the State’s priority water management areas the number of ground water licenses that authorise water extraction greater than or equal to 5 ML/year?
(5) How many of these have a condition on their license requiring them to -
(a) install a meter; and
(b) report the readings to the Department?
(6) In relation to (4), how many of these have privately-owned meters installed?
(7) When will the Government commence installing Government-owned meters in the four priority groundwater areas that currently have no such metering?
(8) Of the 1784 licenses outside the priority water management areas -
(a) how many of these were groundwater licences;
(b) how many of these have a condition on their license requiring them to -
(i) install a meter; and
(ii) report the readings to the Department;
(c) how many of these are metered;
(d) how many were surface water licences;
(e) how many of these have a condition on their license requiring them to
(i) install a meter; and
(ii) report the readings to the Department?
(f) how many of these are metered?
(9) Only 13.3 percent of licences outside of priority management areas that should be metered under ‘Strategic Policy 5.03 Metering the Taking of Water’ have meters installed. When will the Government roll out the metering policy outside the priority management areas?
