I thank the member for some notice
of the question.
(1) (a) There were 68 non-relative foster carers and 249
relative carers, making a total of 317.
 (b) There were 41
non-relative carers and 174 relative carers, making a total of 215.
(2) Between 1
July 2014 and December 2014 there were 10 assessors and between 1 January 2015
and 19 May 2015 there were nine assessors.
(3) This data
is not available retrospectively. As at 19 May 2015, 158 approved carers had
four or more children placed; that is, 68 non-relative carers and 90 relative
carers.
I remind members to look at the
noticeboard outside the Lee Steere Foyer where there are accounts written by
children who have been in the care of foster carers. I would add that I think
relative and non-relative foster carers do an amazingly fantastic job.
