Last month The West Australian reported that up to 16 000 children were coming to school hungry. I asked the minister then if he would verify that number, and he answered that he could not do that because breakfasts were provided at a local level. Will the minister commit funds to enable schools to gather data on how many children are coming to school hungry, without breakfast and with no provision for lunch? Hon G.T. GIFFARD
