I refer the Minister to page 44 of the 2004-2005 Annual Report of the Department for Planning and Infrastructure, which states that during 2005-2006 the Department will “Develop a new ten-year plan for public transport in Perth to clarify planning priorities for extension of the network, measures to improve the efficiency of services, major infrastructure investment priorities and the funding needed to sustain the system.” And I ask -
(1) When is it anticipated that the ten-year plan will be completed?
(2) Has the Minister been advised of any possible changes to planning priorities for extension of the network as a result of work on this plan, and if so will the Minister please provide details of these possible changes?
(3) Has the Minister been advised of any possible changes to major infrastructure investment priorities as a result of work on this plan, and if so will the Minister please provide details of these possible changes?
(4) Has the Minister been advised of any possible changes to funding needed to sustain the system as a result of work on this plan, and if so will the Minister please provide details of these possible changes?

(1)-(4) The current ten-year plan for public transport was published in 1998 and so requires replacement by 2007. A new plan is being developed by the Public Transport Authority and the Department for Planning and Infrastructure. It is in draft form and is currently being considered by senior executives, before being forwarded for consideration by Government.
