Given the announcement made on 5 February by the Alcohol Education and Rehabilitation Foundation that it would begin to allocate more than $100 million to organisations and individuals to address the problems of alcohol and illicit substance misuse - (1) What funding will the Government provide to agencies dealing with alcohol and other drugs in the 2002-03 financial year? (2) Will this funding include funding to the Alcohol Advisory Council? If so, how much? (3) If the minister cannot give an exact dollar amount, will he provide a commitment that the AAC will be funded in the 2002-03 financial year, and that this funding will adequately meet the council’s needs?
