I refer to the state government inquiry to be held into developer contributions to infrastructure costs associated with land development. In a media statement of 15 October 2003, the minister outlined her desire for this committee to examine the relevant cost to developers for providing physical structure and community services such as water, waste water, energy, education and health services. (1) Is the minister considering public-private partnerships as a viable option in addressing developers’ contributions to increasing infrastructure costs associated with land development? (2) If yes to (1), will the minister outline how she envisages that this partnership would operate? Hon KEN TRAVERS
