I refer to a letter sent to the Minister by Mr Gordon Jacob, Community Operations Manager with the Tjuntjuntjara Community, and ask:
(a) for the financial year 2009–2010, has any money been allocated to build or significantly renovate any housing at the Tjuntjuntjara Community;
(b) if no to (1), has any money been allocated in any future financial years to build or significantly renovate any housing at the Tjuntjuntjara Community;
(c) if yes to (1), what new homes, upgrades or maintenance will be undertaken at the Community in the 2009–2010 financial year; and
(d) has any money been allocated for electrical or plumbing work at the Community; and
(i) if so, how much, and when will this work commence?

The Department of Housing advises:
(a) Yes. $104 000 worth of electrical and plumbing upgrades to eighteen houses has been completed.  This work commenced on 16 November and was completed on 24 December 2009. 8 houses require some further minor rewiring to lighting circuits and an estimate for this work is currently being arranged with a view to commencing as soon as possible.
