(1) Yes
(2) Western Australia Police regularly review vehicles utilised for detainee transport taking into account a number of factors. As part of the WA Police Vehicle Fleet replacement program, caged vehicles in Regional WA are being replaced with 'Varley Pods'.
(3) The conversion program is expected to be completed by the end of 2012/2013.
