AMBULANCE RAMPING
974. Mr Z.R.F. KIRKUP to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question. Can
the Premier confirm that the worst ambulance ramping on record is symptomatic of this government's broader
failure to have a clear plan for health and hospitals in Western Australia?

AnswerView source ↗

The answer is clearly no. I just
explained to the Liberal Party what has happened. All this year, all we have
had is undermining and nitpicking about
everything we have had to cope with as a state. Our hospitals are another
example of that. Members opposite undermine our efforts to try to deal
with a very difficult situation that has occurred here. If members opposite had
had their way, our emergency departments would be overflowing with COVID cases.
We would have had the situation that exists in the eastern states if the
Liberal Party had had its way. If members opposite look at the emergency
departments in Britain or the United States, they will see exactly what would
have happened if the Liberal Party had had its way and brought down the border
at the height of the pandemic.
