PERTH CHILDREN'S
HOSPITAL — LEAD CONTAMINATION
586. Mrs L.M. HARVEY to the
Minister for Health:
I ask a supplementary
question. Has the minister asked the commission of inquiry to extend its scope
to include his mismanagement of the Perth Children's Hospital project;
and, if not, what is he hiding?

Perhaps the
commission of inquiry could work out where the opposition is getting its
questions from time and again in relation to this area! Perhaps that is the
real expansion of the terms of reference that we should be considering.
We know that we are
working systematically to resolve the lead issues in relation to that hospital,
which co-occur with other issues that need to be remediated as well. We will
fix the mess left to us to by members on the other side, which they were so
incapable of resolving themselves.
