I thank the member for the question.
Sorry, there was some confusion because this was initially asked by another member.
(1) Yes, I will
table the report. I would like to thank the Department of Primary Industries
and Regional Development for its work on the review. At my request, the
department undertook a detailed review of the community resource centre
program, including an analysis of all previous reviews and feedback received
directly from CRCs and key stakeholders. The report provided recommendations to
meet the proposed $8 million a year budget and improve engagement between CRCs
and state government agencies. The department's review informed our
decision to maintain funding for the program at $13 million a year and will
guide improvements to improve the programs' effectiveness.
[See paper 1620.]
(2) Not applicable.
(3) The review
was principally undertaken by departmental staff; however, some external
services were engaged to assist with data collection, data analysis and data
formatting at a cost of $37 553.22.
