I refer to question without notice 20, answered on Wednesday 9 April 2025, in relation to the appointment of Dr Katrina Stratton as a Parliamentary Secretary, and I ask: (a) is the Premier aware of any other appointments of ministers or parliamentary secretaries that have been inconsistent with the law; (b) who provides legal advice to the Governor on the appointment of ministers and parliamentary secretaries; (c) does the Governor have any staff who are law-qualified; and (d) if yes to (c), what are the positions held by those staff?

(b – d) The Governor acts on the advice of the Executive Council. To the extent that the Governor requires further legal advice, that advice will ordinarily be provided by the Solicitor General.
