Since the issuing of an exemption order in 2008 to permit the
commercial cultivation of genetically modified cotton in the Ord River
irrigation area, how many hectares have been grown in the years 2008 to 2015?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question.
From 2008 to 2010 and from 2012 to
2015, inclusive, zero hectares have been grown. In 2011, up 700 hectares have
been grown.
