For each department, agency and Government Trading Enterprise within the Minister's portfolio of responsibilities, I ask in regard to the registration of the receipt of all gifts, benefits, hospitality, accommodation and travel by officers since 1 October 2015: (a) what was the nature of the gift, benefit, hospitality, accommodation or travel received; (b) what was the date of receipt of each gift, benefit, hospitality, accommodation or travel; (c) what is the name of the individual, organisation or private company that offered the gift, benefit, hospitality, accommodation or travel; (d) what is the estimated individual value of gift, benefit, hospitality, accommodation or travel; and (e) does the organisation have any commercial or financial relationship with the individual, organisation or private company that offered the gift, benefit, hospitality, accommodation or travel and if so, what is the nature of that commercial or financial relationship?

(a) – (e) On 29 October 2015, DFES accepted the hospitality of a working breakfast on Global Corruption from Deloitte valued at $50. No commercial or financial relationship exists.
On 15 November 2015, DFES accepted a gift box diorama of the Marina Bay Fire Station from the Singapore Civil Defence Force valued at $95. Singapore Civil Defence Force is a Mutual Aid Partner.
On 15 November 2015, DFES accepted the gift of a Parker Pen from the Singapore Civil Defence Force valued at $40. Singapore Civil Defence Force is a Mutual Aid Partner.
On 4 December 2015, DFES accepted the gift of hospitality to the Australia Radio Communications Industry Association Conference gala dinner from Wireless Innovation valued at $176. No commercial or financial relationship exists.
On 18 December 2015, DFES accepted the gift of a ticket to the Hopman Cup Tennis from Data Comm valued at $100. There is no commercial or financial relationship.
On 24 December 2015, DFES accepted a $100 cash donation by an unknown member of the public at road traffic incident. DFES donate the money to the Lord Mayors Fire Appeal for Esperance. No commercial or financial relationship exists.
On 4 January 2016, DFES accepted the gift of hospitality to the awards ceremony dinner for the Mining Emergency Response Competition (MERC) valued at $150. No commercial or financial relationship exists.
On 27 January 2016, DFES accepted the gift of a bottle of sparkling wine from UWA student Ms Stephanie for outplacement support valued at $70. No commercial or financial relationship exists.
On 1 February 2016, DFES accepted the gift of a Rexel paper shredder from Lyreco valued at $332.56. Lyreco has a commercial relationship with DFES and is the current stationary supplier.
On 11 February 2016, DFES accepted the gift of a complimentary annual membership from the Australian Institute of Management valued at $399. No commercial or financial relationship exists.
On 23 February 2016, DFES accepted overnight accommodation from the Shire of Trayning valued at $150. The Shire of Trayning is a local government stakeholder.
On 8 March 2016, DFES accepted hospitality of attendance at a seminar and dinner from the Australia Radio Communications Industry Association valued at $100. The ARCIA are a stakeholder.
On 23 March 2016, DFES accepted the gift of an Easter chocolate hamper from the RAC valued at $100. The hamper was donated to the Salvation Army. RAC is a sponsor of the DFES rescue helicopter.
On 7 April 2016, DFES accepted the gift and hospitality of a seminar on internal audit and sundowner from Price Waterhouse Cooper valued at $100. No commercial or financial relationship exists.

On 15 July 2016, DFES accepted meals and hospitality from Motorola whilst on a tour of various emergency management and Motorola facilities in the USA valued at $844. Motorola is a contractor for WA Police CAD project. DFES and WA Police are exploring options for an integrated emergency management solution with Motorola.
On 5 July 2016, DFES accepted hospitality of a conference dinner from Critchlow Limited valued at $200. Critchlow Ltd. is a DFES contractor.
On 27 July 2016, DFES accepted the gift of an SES commemorative jacket and bottle of spirits valued at $100 from Broome SES members. Broome SES is a DFES volunteer emergency service.
On 9 September 216, DFES accepted the gift and hospitality of two tickets to an AFL elimination final valued at $400 from Telstra. Telstra is a DFES contractor.
On 12 September 2016, DFES accepted the hospitality of a cocktail reception from RAC valued at $50. RAC is the sponsor of the DFES rescue helicopter.

The State Emergency Management Committee (SEMC) Secretariat submits advises:
(a) 2 x complimentary tickets for the SEMC Secretariat to attend the Risk Management Institution of Australia’s State Conference, tickets were a thank you to the SEMC Secretariat for providing a speaker for the Conference.
1 x bouquet of flowers presented to two SEMC Secretariat staff as a thank you gift for providing ongoing support and assistance.
