I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) The base build and fit-out works for the
media centre were part of the lump sum tender for the overall Dumas House
works. A cost breakdown for this area is not readily available.
(2) The facility principally comprises the
media entry, media report amenities, interview room, government media
conference room, technical booth, anteroom, and emergency service incident
support room.
(3) The estimated cost of the broadcasting
equipment is $407 818. This does not include lighting costs for the media
centre, which is part of the overall lighting costs for the project, a
breakdown of which is not readily available.
(4) Upper basement.
(5) No additional staff will be required to run the media facilities at
Dumas House.
