(1) For each custodial facility, and for each of the financial years 2021–22, 2022–23, 2023–24, 2024–25, and year-to-date 2025–26, how many recorded incidents of violence have occurred, broken down by: (a) prisoner-on-prisoner assaults; (b) prisoner-on-staff assaults; and (c) other violent incidents? (2) For each of the years and facilities in (1), how many of the incidents involved the use of weapons, including: (a) improvised weapons (e.g. handmade shanks, blades, or sharpened items); (b) smuggled or contraband weapons; and (c) use of facility equipment or furniture as a weapon? (3) For each facility, and for each of the financial years since 2021–22, how many staff members sustained injuries as a result of prisoner violence? (4) Of those listed in (3): (a) how many injuries required medical treatment; (b) how many resulted in workers’ compensation claims; and (c) how many resulted in time lost from work? (5) For each facility, and for each of the financial years since 2021–22, how many prisoners sustained injuries as a result of prisoner violence? (6) Of those listed in (5): (a) how many required hospitalisation outside the facility?

Compiling this information would demand diverting staff away from their operational duties and as a consequence, it is not considered to be a reasonable or appropriate use of resources. I note the Member asked 17 different questions of similar nature in length concurrently.
