(1) Can the Minister table a map of the various car parking areas which service Meltham train station?
(2) How many car bays are provided in each of these car parking areas?
(3) Are there plans to provide any additional car parking bays at Meltham train station, and:
(a) if so, where will the extra car bays be provided, how many extra car bays will be provided and how much will they cost to provide; and
(b) if not, why not?
(4) is the amount of car parking provided at Meltham train station adequate to meet demand by commuters?
(5) Does the Public Transport Authority take any records of number plates of those parking at the Meltham train station to indicate where people are travelling from to utilise the car park and train?
(6) What action will the Minster take to immediately provide parking bays for patrons who have to park outside the designated car parking areas, and on the ‘verge’ adjoining the railway line?

(2) Car park in front of station off Railway Parade contains 36 bays. Car park north of station off Railway Parade contains 9 bays. Car park south of the station off Whatley Crescent contains 16 bays.
(3) (a) The Public Transport Authority is currently investigating what opportunities exist to increase the number of car bays at Meltham station.
(b) Not Applicable.
(4) Car parking facilities at Meltham train station are currently experiencing a high demand from commuters.

(6) No action will be taken until the investigation into the opportunities to increase car parking bays is completed and, if applicable, appropriate funding becomes available.
