1. Headworks contributions for water and sewer services are assessed on parameters that are applied Statewide. The headworks contributions are payable at subdivision or building stage and based on the service demand and other factors relative to the Standard Headworks Contribution (SHC), and this would include small to medium commercial or industrial projects. The SHC amount is set annually and escalated quarterly in accordance with an industry agreed formula. 2. Standard Headworks Contributions apply Statewide and are not differentiated on the basis of metropolitan/non-metropolitan or property classification. For the quarter ending 30 September 2000, the SHC for water is $2,474 and for sewerage it is $1,483. Headworks contributions for drainage are based on area, currently $4,024/Ha, and only apply in the metropolitan area within the catchments served by the Water Corporation's main drainage schemes. 3. The Water Corporation does not monitor headworks contributions by the specific categories nominated in the question, however the total revenue from all sources for headworks contributions for 1999/2000 was $76.8 million. (a) Metropolitan $58.6 million (b) Non-Metropolitan $18.2 million 4. The estimated total revenue from all sources, including small to medium commercial or industrial projects, for headworks contributions for 2000/2001 is $59 million. (a) Metropolitan $43 million (b) Non-Metropolitan $16 million
