(1) Where the Department for Planning and Infrastructure's actions have caused any loss, the Department will consider an application for compensation.
(2) The Department for Planning and Infrastructure has written to the owners of the affected vehicles on up to three occasions to advise them of the need for vehicles to be re-inspected.
(3) No fees or charges are payable in respect to vehicles that are subject to a re-inspection.
(4) The owner of a vehicle is required to maintain it in a roadworthy condition and is responsible for the rectification of defects.
