I refer to page 664 of Budget Paper 2, Volume 2 and funding for Muja C and D, and I ask: (a) will the Minister please provide a list of the work undertaken on Muja C and D for each of the following years: (i) 2019-20; (ii) 2020-21; (iii) 2021-22; and (iv) 2022-23; (b) did Synergy consider the expected remaining life of Muja C and D prior to committing funding to undertake works; (c) if yes to (b), what is the expected remaining life of Muja C and D; (d) was a business case prepared to justify over $40 million in capital works; (e) if yes to (d), will the Minister table the business case; and (f) if no business case was prepared, what documentation was prepared before the funding was committed?

a) As with similar years, works budgeted to be undertaken at Muja C and D for each of the following years is notionally set as part of Synergy’s strategic asset planning and seeks to ensure Synergy plant operates safely and efficiently.
