As a Western Australian business, Western Power is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of WA on the same footing as thousands of business enterprises across the State.
Western Power's membership provides access to CCI's full range of services which includes areas such as industrial relations, safety, education and training, economic research, trade, industry development, project information, environment, publications and networking.
It also allows participation in the CCI's policy forums. Western Power has representatives on CCI's resource and energy committee and environmental management committee.
The majority of the payments made to the CCI in the period July 1994 to June 2000 were applied to the training of apprentices through the CCI Group Apprentice Training Scheme, which facilitated specialist training of young Western Australians in the field of engineering.
