The Minister Replied:
(1) No
(2) Not applicable
(3) No. However, I have written to the Federal Minister for Immigration and Multicultural Affairs asking him to consider providing English classes for those people holding temporary protection visas.
(4) The State Government is concerned about additional requirements for TPV
holders. I have requested the Office of Citizenship and Multicultural Interests to co-ordinate a survey of all relevant agencies to provide an indication of current services provided and the estimated costs involved, as well as an indication of any other major demands for services outside of the humanitarian TPV programs, which may in future result in some additional expenditure.
(5) Not applicable
(6) None. However, Homeswest has been prepared to offer "no demand" Homeswest housing on application should there be any such housing available.
