I refer to your approval given in January 2009, regarding a proposal by Western Australia Biomass Pty Ltd, to construct and operate a 40 megawatt wood fuelled biomass power plant at Diamond Mill near Manjimup, and ask -
(1) Have the Minister, the Department, or Agencies, been approached to vary the current condition applying to the fuel for the biomass power plant that it, ‘only use wastes from Bluegum and Pine plantations as fuel’, to enable use of fuel from native forest?
(2) If yes to (1), what opportunity will there be for the public to comment?
