❓ Hon Alanna Clohesy questions the Minister for Planning regarding the WAPC's decision to assume control of land in South Bullsbrook for an intermodal terminal, focusing on community and City of Swan consultations. The Minister's response acknowledges consultations with government agencies but lacks specific details due to time constraints, citing the Planning and Development Act 2005 and broader planning documents as justification.

I thank the member for some notice of this question.
(1)–(4)
Consultation to date has involved a range of government agencies and other
stakeholders. It is not possible in the time available to provide detailed
information on the consultations undertaken.
(5) The
declaration of planning control area 118 for South Bullsbrook Intermodal
Terminal was gazetted on 21 July 2015. Section 112 of the Planning and
Development Act 2005 provides for the declaration of a planning control area if
it is considered that the land may be required for reservation purposes. The
requirement for a future intermodal terminal in the north east corridor has
been identified as part of broader land use planning in the Perth and Peel
regions. This requirement has been published in documents such as ''Directions
2031 and beyond: metropolitan planning and beyond the horizon'' of 2010,
and the ''Economic and Employment Lands Strategy: non-heavy industrial:
Perth metropolitan and Peel regions'' of 2012.
