DRINK-DRIVING — MINISTER FOR POLICE'S
COMMENTS
288. Mrs M.H. ROBERTS to the Minister for
Police:
Given that it is on the public
record that the minister's colleague was drinking that night and then
he was driving that night and had five crashes on the way home, why is she
standing behind him rather than setting a strong example for the community?

I will say it again and I will say
it in every forum that I go to: I do not condone drinking and driving. I know
the consequences of drinking and driving. I know that from talking to the
Dunbar family —
Mrs
M.H. Roberts interjected.
The
SPEAKER : Member for Midland, I call you to order for the third time.
Mrs
L.M. HARVEY : I do not condone drink-driving, I do not accept it, I do not
do it and 13 371 people last year should not have done it either.
