I refer to the Department of Communities Education and Care Regulatory Unit, and I ask: (a) how many requests have the Department received from childcare providers for registration in 2022 and 2023 (to date); (b) what was the total number of enrolments in 2022 and 2023 (current) for both government and non-government schools in; (c) of the requests referred to in (a), how many were approved; and (d) how many childcare providers had their registration suspended by the Department in 2022 and 2023 (to date)?

(a)   The Department of Communities (Communities) advises: In 2022, 109 provider approval applications were received. In 2023*, 131 provider approval applications have been received.
(b)   Please refer to Legislative Council Question on Notice 1642.
Communities advises:
(c)   In 2022, 32; in 2023*, 30.
(d)   In 2022 and 2023*, Communities did not suspend any approved providers.
