(1) The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) coordinated a review or “status check” on all actions committed to by the Government in Environmental Action: Government’s response to the 1998 State of Environment Report. All of the responsible agencies for implementing this action plan were involved in the review. The Environmental Protection Authority is considering undertaking an evaluation of the effectiveness of each action as part of the next State of Environment report. (2) In September 2003, the Minister for the Environment released the “Review of Government’s response to the 1998 State of Environment Report”. It is available in the DEP’s library or alternatively on the DEP’s website at www.environment.wa.gov.au. (3) Not applicable.
