I thank the member for some notice of the question.
(1) No. The Minister
for Environment has requested that the Environmental Protection Authority
inquire into extending the time limit of authorisation for the implementation
of the development and conservation proposal at lot 4 Underwood Avenue, Shenton
Park, authorised by statement 835 published in July 2010.
(2) The EPA
inquiry will review whether the environmental factors of the proposal
considered at the time of the original assessment, and the conditions of the
statement, remain relevant. Information provided by stakeholders is being
considered as part of this inquiry.
(3) The EPA
will provide its report and recommendations to the Minister for Environment
when it has completed its inquiry. The Environmental Protection Act 1986 does
not provide for third party appeals of an EPA report undertaken as part of an
inquiry to change conditions.
