I refer to the East Perth to Maylands Cycleway -
(1) Has a certificate of practical completion been given on this work?
(2) Has a final certificate been given on this work?
(3) What work has been carried out to date on the track since the opening by the Minister?
(4) What was the purpose of this work?
(5) Has any of this been at the cost of the State? If so, please provide details.
(6) Has any remedial work been carried out by persons other than the persons contracted to perform it in the first place?
(7) If so, by whom, why and does the State retain sufficient retention to pay for it?
(8) Has the Main Roads Department who provided supervisory work on the contract expressed any views on the quality of the work done by the contractor?
(9) If so, will you table that expression of views?
(10) Are the undulations in sections of the track eg alongside the Mt Lawley train station specified in the contract?
(11) If not, are they inconsistent with the contract?
(12) Have any sections been removed for the Maylands to McIver path and rebuilt or replaced?
(13) If so, why?
(14) Were all the bridges in the cycleway alongside East Parade in the original contract?
(15) Did that part of the cycleway alongside East Parade where there are now bridges, collapse after initial construction?
(16) Is the quality of the final finish satisfactory in the view of the supervising engineer for the State?
(17) Who is that engineer and can you table any written advice by that engineer to that effect?
(18) What prior experience did the principal contractors and subcontractors on the cycleway have with respect to the construction of -
(a) public roads; and
(b) cycleways?
(19) What type of warning is in place to indicate the end of the track?
(20) When was that placed there?
(21) Are the current extensions beyond Maylands being carried out by any of the principal contractors or subcontractors on the East Perth Maylands section?
(22) What is the contract amount of the current extension beyond Maylands and what is the length of the track?
