116. Hon AMBER-JADE SANDERSON to the minister representing the Treasurer:
I refer to the Economic Regulation Authority inquiry into the
efficiency and performance of Western Australian prisons?
(1) How many submissions had been
received at the official cut-off date of 9 January 2015?
(2) How many submissions were
accepted subsequent to that date?
(3) If any submissions were received
subsequent to that date, on what date were they received?
(4) Had the
authors of those submissions received subsequent to 9 January 2015 met,
conversed or corresponded with any government ministers, ministerial staff or
departmental staff between 9 January 2015 and the date of their submission?

I thank the member for some notice of the question. I had no
idea what the member said, but I am very appreciative that it is question C089.
(1) There were 14.
(2) There were three.
(3) They were received on 20 January 2015, 9 February 2015
and 18 February 2015.
(4) The ERA is
not aware of any discussion or correspondence between the submitters and
ministers, ministerial staff or Department of Corrective Services staff. There
was an exchange of emails between the ERA and a submitter.
