I refer to the indicative Canning Bridge Station Interchange in the Canning Bridge Activity Centre Plan as part of the proposed vision for the Station Quarter (Q6), and I ask: (a) Is this still the State Government's current preferred location for the Canning Bridge Station Interchange; (b) Can the Minister provide information on the work and progress that has been done to date in addressing this part of the Canning Bridge Activity Centre Plan; (c) Is the proposed location of the Canning Bridge Station Interchange the only option considered by the State Government; (d) If yes to (c), why; (e) If no to (c), can the Minister list all the location and scope options previously and currently considered for the Canning Bridge Station Interchange and provide relevant maps/sketches if possible; (f) Is there currently a consideration to locate a public transport interchange or hub in Cassey Quarter (Q3); (g) If yes to (f), where is the proposed location, and can the Minister provide relevant maps/sketches; (h) Have there been public consultation meetings held regarding the proposed Canning Bridge Station Interchange or another form of public transport interchange hub whether in the Station Quarter or Cassey Quarter; and (i) If yes to (h), can the Minister provide the following information in relation to the public consultation meetings: (i) What were the dates and venues of the meetings; (ii) In addition to the members of the public, which State and/or local government representatives attended the meetings; (iii) Who ran/facilitated the meetings; and (iv) Was there an opportunity for members of the public to provide feedback at the meeting?

(a)-(i) The Public Transport Authority (PTA) in consultation with key stakeholders including Main Roads WA has been working on concept design investigations to improve bus interchange facilities at Canning Bridge. The PTA has advised that the location of the proposed facility is consistent with the Activity Centre Plan developed by the City of South Perth and City of Melville and approved by the WA Planning Commission in April 2016.
This work is yet to be considered by the Government and no current commitments exist with regards to the preferred solution or potential funding and timing of implementation.
