566. Hon DARREN WEST to the
minister representing the Minister for Housing:
I refer to the Department of Housing's income
eligibility limits for social housing tenants.
(1) Given that the limits were set in 2006, does the minister
have any plans to review them?
(2) If yes to
(1), when is the review likely to take place, how long will the review take,
and will there be any opportunity for public comment or input?
(3) If no to (1), why not?

question. The Department of Housing advises the following —
(1) No.
(2) Not applicable.
(3) The income
eligibility limits aim to ensure that public housing is targeted at those most
in need. The department will continue to monitor the income eligibility levels
in line with this objective.
