(1) I refer to the response given to question on notice 236, in relation to an internal review undertaken by the Department of Education and the recommendation to introduce mandatory training for Student Services staff, and I ask, does this recommendation apply to all existing Student Services staff in Government schools across Western Australia? (2) If yes to (1), can the Minister advise: (a) whether a time-frame has been put in place for all staff to have completed the required training; and (b) the total number of staff who have completed the mandatory training to date?

(1)   Yes, for all student services staff employed by the Department of Education.
(2)   (a) No timeframe has been put in place.
(b) Nil.  The training course is in the implementation phase.
