Payments against contracted milestones made by Eventscorp to the event organiser for One Movement for Music festival are not linked to the number of paying attendees. This is also the case for other Tourism Western Australia events such as the Red Bull Air Race, which attracts 300 000 people (6 000 of which are paying attendees) and the Drug Aware Margaret River Pro which is forecast to attract more than 10 000 spectators (free of charge). It is both the event organiser's and Tourism Western Australia's conservative estimate that over
50 000 people attended the One Movement for Music Perth festival.
A central feature of the One Movement for Music Perth festival is a career boosting opportunity for artists to be showcased, evidenced by more than 800 artists from around the world applying to appear free of charge in a festival style atmosphere. Other iconic music industry events around the world that operate on a similar model include South by South West (Texas, United States of America), the Great Escape (Brighton, United Kingdom), Canadian Music Week (Toronto, Canada), CMJ (New York, United States of America), MUSEXPO (London, United Kingdom) and MUSEXPO LA (Los Angeles, United States of America).
The number of full paying concert goers for all sessions and concerts at the One Movement for Music Perth festival was 2 815.
