There is no data available which would allow a definitive answer to this question. Ausveg, independent national seed growers and washpackers, do not currently collect or collate data on varieties of potatoes grown in other states of Australia.
It should be noted that the two major retailers in Western Australia (WA) and nationally (Coles and Woolworths), predominantly market brands of potatoes into which they feed a number of different varieties (according to the time of year and which variety is in better quality and quantity). This gives rise to the common assumption that there is a lack of variety grown in WA, which is simply not the case.
