I refer to question without notice 451 on 19 June regarding the McLennan Magasanik Associates’ study of the impact of mandatory renewable energy targets on electricity prices in Western Australia. (1) What are the terms of reference for this study? (2) Has a draft report been submitted; and, if so, when? (3) When will the final report be - (a) submitted; and (b) tabled in Parliament? (1) The Office of Energy issued a request for a quotation to suitably qualified companies for analysis of the impacts of renewable energy targets on Western Australian electricity markets and the wider economy. (2) The Office of Energy received a draft of the report on the modelling analysis in June 2007. (3) (a) It is expected that the report will be finalised in July. (b) No decision has yet been made on the tabling of the report.
