I refer to an event held in Bunker Bay on 2 February 2018 organised by Australia South West and attended by a number of tourism, business and local government identities, and ask: (a) can the Minister confirm that the function was sponsored by Australia South West, and if not who did sponsor the function; (b) if yes, can the Minister provide the full list of speakers at the function; (c) was the Chair of Tourism WA, Nathan Harding, present at the function; (d) did the Chair of Tourism WA speak at the function; (e) can the Minister confirm that one of the speakers at the function was a representative of the City of Busselton with knowledge of the Busselton Margaret River Airport project; (f) if yes, can the Minister confirm an announcement by the City of Busselton representative that the contract for the completion of the New Busselton Margaret River Airport project had been signed (let) and that the successful contractor would be announced in coming days; (g) if no to (f) what did the City of Busselton representative talk about in his/her address; and (h) can the Minister confirm thatduring the function it was announced that the contract to complete the Busselton Margaret River Airport Terminal building was let (signed)?

(a) Yes, the event was sponsored and organised by Australia’s South West.
(b) There were no official speakers as this was a roundtable event; however, Tourism Western Australia (Tourism WA) Chairman Mr Nathan Harding introduced himself and provided an overview of Tourism WA. Mr Harding then opened the floor to a Q&A. See tabled paper no # for list of attendees.

(e) The structure of the event was a roundtable forum. The City of Busselton’s Project Manager Business Development provided an update on the Airport Project in response to a general question regarding the Busselton Margaret River Airport.
(f) As part of the Airport Project update, the City of Busselton’s Project Manager Business Development advised that the contract for the construction of the terminal would be signed on Friday 2nd February 2018 and that a public announcement would be made.
(g) Not applicable.
