COORDINATOR GENERAL — TIM MARNEY
585. Mr R.S. LOVE to the Premier:
I refer to reports that after six
months, the Premier has sacked his chief red-and-green-tape slasher Mr Tim
Marney. It is the second time his government has recently tasked Mr Marney with
a significant role, yet, once again, it has cut his tenure short. What are the
reasons for sacking the coordinator general and does the Premier plan to
replace him before the next election?

We made it very clear that Tim
Marney was contracted for in the region of six months to establish the
position. That period of six months has concluded.
