(1) Relating to arts patronage, can the Minister detail daily and weekly arts patronage figures for all Culture and the Arts funded agencies, venues and projects occurring in the Perth Cultural Centre, for 2008–2009, for 1995–1996, and anticipated patronage for 2012–2013?
(2) Can the Minister provide the total global patronage figure for the Perth Cultural Centre that the Department of Culture and the Arts is basing advice on for enhancing the Perth Cultural Centre?

(1) The 2008-2009 reports are not yet available to ascertain these figures. The 1995-1996 are in the archives and would require substantially more time to access (assuming they are available in a meaningful format). The estimates for 2012-2013 have not been detailed by the specific agencies.
(2) The enhancement and redevelopment of the Perth Cultural Centre was an election commitment of the new Government. . The planning for the redevelopment of the Perth Cultural Centre has only just been announced in this budget and planning will involve research into how to improve the patronage of the area which had been left to run down under the former Labor Government.
On the issue of patronage, thoroughfare traffic through the State Library was 1 095 884 in 2007-08, which highlights that many people pass through the cultural centre, however don't necessarily view it as a destination in itself.
