(a) The Balgo community is managed through the Wirrimanu Aboriginal Corporation which is incorporated under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Cth).
The Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations has responsibility for providing training programs which aim to increase corporate governance knowledge, skills, efficiency and accountability within Aboriginal corporations.
(b) The Department of Aboriginal Affairs is not the primary funder of services or program delivery to Aboriginal people in Western Australia.
Funding for community based programs in Balgo is provided by relevant State agencies, dependant on service or program type.
