MINISTER FOR TRANSPORT — METIER ASIA
58. Mr B.S. WYATT to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question. On
23 September last year, the Premier advised Parliament that he would be taking
the Ministerial Code of Conduct to cabinet this week and then tabling the
revisions in Parliament. Can we expect those revisions to be tabled in
Parliament in the coming month?

AnswerView source ↗

Not necessarily. There is no issue
of accountability and declaration of interests. Some procedural changes have
been made to the way in which cabinet operates.
Mr
B.S. Wyatt : Will they be tabled?
Mr
C.J. BARNETT : When changes are made, yes, I will table them. We do not have
the issue in cabinet that the Labor Party had in
government. A whole lot of accusations were made against the Minister for
Transport. It was reported on the front page of The West Australian and what came of it? Nothing.
