(a) In June 2010, Worksafe issued seven Improvement Notices at the Warwick Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) which relate to the location and setup of interview rooms and controlled access to Dental Health staff areas, CAMHS staff areas, safe movement, restriction of client access to fire extinguishers and duress alarms standards. Five of the Worksafe Improvement Notices have been completed, with two outstanding and date for compliance extended to 28 September 2012.
(b) Refurbishment of the Warwick CAMHS clinic commenced in July 2012, and will result in the clinic being compliant with the remaining two outstanding Worksafe Improvement Notices.
(i) The expected cost of carrying out any upgrades is $1.3 Million.
(ii) The practical date for completion of the upgrades is expected by 24 September 2012, with the service regaining possession by 8 October 2012.
(c) Services at the Warwick CAMHS clinic continue to operate, but at a reduced capacity due to the temporary relocation primarily to the ShentonParksite and at other CAMHS clinics in the northern and eastern suburbs. This has resulted in clients needing to travel further distances to access services, along with staff that are travelling further distances in order to meet with clients in their own homes. All clients and stakeholders have been informed of the temporary arrangements for service delivery. Phone and fax lines have been diverted to the ShentonParksite.
(d) There are no current plans to relocate the clinic, other than the temporary relocation of staff during the refurbishment of the Warwick Clinic.
(i) - (v) Not applicable.
