RENEWABLE ENERGY - SOUTH WEST INTERCONNECTED GRID
I refer to the Premier’s media statement of 18 August 2006, which relates to the proposal for a national scheme of greenhouse gas emissions trading and states in part - We are also on target for six per cent renewable energy on the grid by 2010 . . . (1) What is the most recent estimate of the percentage of renewable energy on the south west interconnected grid? (2) What is the source of this estimate? (3) If this estimate is contained in a report, will the Leader of the House please table that report? Hon KIM CHANCE

I thank Hon Paul Llewellyn for providing some notice - albeit late - of the question. As a result, the Premier has not had the opportunity to deal with the question, because he was involved at the time in a debate in the other place. Hon Paul Llewellyn : That is a different question. Hon KIM CHANCE : I am sorry. I beg the indulgence of the house. I am suffering a temporary loss of hearing. I presumed this was the question, because I have no other question from Hon Paul Llewellyn in my file. This is a question - I thought I was following it - relating to greenhouse emissions trading. Hon Paul Llewellyn : There are two of them. The PRESIDENT : Order! I think we will move on to the next question. Hon KIM CHANCE : If the member would be good enough to ask the question again tomorrow, I am assured we will have an answer.
