The design of a northbound passing lane south of Kirup is in progress. b) The widening of the entire length, completion of discrete realignments and construction of passing lanes is not funded in the 2003/04 State Budget. However, it is proposed to continue to consider part of the works in Main Roads annual safety and improvement programs with a northbound passing lane near Mullalyup proposed for construction in 2003/04. This passing lane will complete 3 of the 7 passing lanes originally proposed as part of the highway upgrade. Other works will be considered as part of future State Budget considerations. c) The estimated cost of widening, discrete realignments and 7 passing lanes between Donnybrook and Greenbushes is $29 million.
