QuestionView source ↗

I again refer the minister to the absence of any funding in the budget for a desalination plant. (1) Will the proposed desalination plant proceed this year; and, if so, how will it be funded? (2) Are there any funds in this year’s budget to develop alternative water sources? Hon NICK GRIFFITHS

I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) No decision to proceed with a desalination plant has been made. One may or may not be made. It is premature to ask that question. (2) Money is available in the Water Corporation’s budget to continue investigations into the south west Yarragadee.
