I refer to question on notice No. 289 of November 13 2002 and the answers provided -
(1) Has the Department of Environmental Protection conducted an extensive and thorough investigation for asbestos intersections in relation to drilling being undertaken by blast hole rigs and also exploration drilling within Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines Pty Ltd (Newmont Mining and Barrick Mines) open pit mining operations for the past two years?
(2) If no to (1), why not?
(3) If so, on what dates was it commenced and completed and will the Minister now provide answers to parts 1 and 2 for question on notice No. 289 of November 13 2002?

(1) No.
(2) The Department of Environmental Protection has no information on asbestos intersections from Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines’ open pit mining operations.
